Photographers who do more than just “take wedding photos”

Choosing the right wedding photographer in Hong Kong is hard.

You need to make sure they understand your culture and the importance of certain rituals.

You don’t want them to crumble under the stress of managing the large number of guests.

You need to make sure the photos are able to translate your story into the photos.

And with all the possible options out there.

When you DO find a good wedding photographer for a wedding photoshoot.

Their prices are enough to bankrupt you for 3 generations.

It’s easy to feel overwhelmed under the pressure of this once-in-a-lifetime moment.

So relax, take a deep breath and take a look at my portfolio.

That way, you can see for yourself if I’m worth it or not.

It’s hard in Hong Kong…

  • "I cannot express how thankful I am with Farooq and his team of amazing photographers. They really went above and beyond. They made sure everyone was comfortable and enjoying themselves and that we never had to be stressed or worried about the photos"

  • "I had Farooq and his team capture all 3 events of our wedding in Hong Kong and they have been so amazing with their service and quality. Not only are the photos amazing but the best ones were taken without us even having to be directly in front of the camera."

  • "Farooq and his team were very accommodating of our needs. We'd heard horror stories about the photographer missing to capture certain rituals but Farooq and his team displayed extreme professionalism and open communication."

Nobody wants a photographer who forces us to stand like a mannequin.

Stiff and unnatural poses that make you feel like a puppet.

Feeling your partner's hand getting tenser by the second.

Hearing the photographer's camera shutter and click repeatedly as you resist the urge to itch.

In a suit or dress which is getting tighter by the second.

Thinking to yourself “How much longer until he’s done?”.

“I can’t wait until this is over”.

And that’s why I follow a couple’s first approach.

Capturing the sparkle in your smiles and the fluidity of your movements.

Do you want to look back at a photo and remember how uncomfortable you were?

Or do you want to relive the bliss of your first dance, the sweet taste of your wedding cake, and the laughter of your loved ones?

No forced smiles or awkward poses

Why a photographer is the MOST important part of your wedding.

Picture yourself 2 decades from now.

Your children gather around you and your partner on the sofa on a chilly day.

You huddle together for warmth and begin looking through your wedding photos.

You turn a page and find a photo of you and your partner gazing into each other’s eyes, the love sparkles brightly, recreating the memory.

Your embrace shows a strong bond and readiness to face challenges together.

You’re reminded of what’s important, of what really matters.

It’s not the wedding, it’s not the fancy tables and decorations.

It’s you and your partner, a story of love, loyalty, and companionship.

And that’s what we capture in our photos.

What we DON’T do in our photoshoots

My style isn’t dark and dreary or airy-fairy.

My style is simple.

It’s to capture your story.

Whether it’s a teenage romance.

Or a hard-fought battle of love over conflicting families.

Or a new and uncharted journey with adventures yet to come.

Each marriage has it’s own story and it’s own battles.

For 20 years, we’ve worked tirelessly in Hong Kong to ensure that every photo is more than a PNG file.

That our photography services will be a reminder of how special that day was.

Working in more than 1000 events, we have an unmatched understanding of the diverse cultures in Hong Kong.

Whether it’s the pouring of the tea ceremony.

Or the bride saying “Qabool Hai” in the nikah.

Or the vibrant and energetic energy of the Sangeet.

You’ll be able to see the heavy feeling of importance embedded into the photo.

About Me

Originally working under Shah Studio & Video Production here in Hong Kong, I eventually became the owner of the business after the previous owner retired.

Learning from masters of the trade, coupled with my experience has allowed me to learn how to capture weddings which bring you back in time to that exact moment the photo was taken.

Capturing all the emotions the couple is feeling at that moment.

The overwhelming joy that surges through your veins when you marry someone who holds your heart.

Being able to transcribe that into an image that lasts forever.

Through all your arguments, all the worst parts of your marriage, when you start to lose love.

Seeing that photo, seeing the love you had on that day, and how happy you were.

Is enough to bring you back to what truly matters.

And that’s why I do what I offer my photography services the way I do.

Because at the end of the day, the only thing that will remain after your wedding won’t be the guests or the expensive wedding decoration

It will be you and your partner.

Weddings are already so expensive…

Some people take years to pay off the loans for their weddings.

Especially in Hong Kong.

Wondering where all that money went when they scarcely recall all the finer details

The wedding decor has decayed.

The wedding hall hasn’t graced their visit in 5 years.

Their family members have moved on

Now they’re just another couple wondering why they spent so much money on the wedding.

The only thing that remains after the wedding apart from the marriage.

Are the photos.

And while nobody expects you to break the bank for a photographer.

Going for a cheaper option, who ends up taking pictures of the back of your guests head…

Is not worth the price either.

When you hire a wedding photographer, you’re doing more than just getting pictures.

You’re hiring someone to embed the memories and love you have for your partner into something that may last generations.

To be used as a reminder of true love for your descendants.
